Park Clean-Up
A HUGE THANK YOU to all the kids who brought their parents to Park Clean-Up on June 13th. We had over 70 participants and had 65 kids at the Last Day Luau! Our park looks fantastic! Thank you again to everyone who helped. We'll do it again next year.

| About Us
|
The Tanglewilde Pool is located at 414 Wildcat Street SE, Olympia, WA 98503. Tanglewilde is a planned community started by Alvin Thompson in the 1950's. Within the community are two parks and the pool supported and paid for by the residents of Tanglewilde through a parks levy. The parks and pool are operated and maintained by the residents of the community. We are a unique community and welcome you to come and visit our treasured neighborhood. Come see us in the summer and take a swim! Call us today at 360-491-3907 for more information.

Community Center Committee: Members Needed - Tuesday, June 02, 2009
A "Life Long Dream" coming true...
When Mr. Thompson began building Tanglewilde, one of the things he envisioned was a community center located by the pool. Fifty-one years later, we are excited to announce that the TRC board and park Commissioners are in the very beginning stages of planning that Community Center. At this time we are looking for residents who would like to be on the planning committee. If you are interested, please email trcsecretary@comcast.net. Please include "cc committee" in the subject line. We will contact you with the first meeting date.

Fundraising Opportunities for Non-Profit Organizations
Tanglewilde Recreation Center has an exciting fundraising possiblity we'd like to offer to non-profit agencies. The TRC Board has decided to forgo selling our own concessions this summer at the pool. What we are offering you is a place and time that you may sell your concessions at NO COST to you. This means you keep 100% of the profit!
You will be allowed to sell your items outside of the pool area. (Don't worry, swimmers are allowed to come in and out of the pool without additional cost to them, so they will come out). TRC does not have extra chairs or tables that we can lend you, so you will have to bring your own. We will require that you take them with you after your shift is over and we expect that you leave the space clean when you are through. Since this is brand new to us, we reserve the right to change and/or create new rules as we see necessary. We are looking forward to helping our community and believe that this is an opportunity to do so.
What we can offer is outlined below:
Monday through Thursday: 9:00am-noon: This is our swim lesson session. We would suggest coffee, hot chocolate, and breakfast items for this time slot. Your main consumers will be parents waiting while their children are having their lessons.
Sunday through Saturday: 1:00pm - 5:00pm: This is our open swim time. Your consumers will range from small children to adults. There is a pool break at 3:00pm and we highly recommend that you take advantage of this time.
Rules:
1) You must sign-up ahead of time. You can do this by emailing trcsecretary@comcast.net.
2) For every 1-5 kids, there must be one adult present with them at all times.
3) No glass bottles, no alcohol, no tobacco
4) We will not store your supplies on the premises.
5) Please give 24 hours notice if you need to cancel so we can fill the spot.
Thank you and we look forward to hearing from you!
