Hello neighbors,
Below in BLACK is a question about Tanglewilde converting to a city sewer system. In BLUE is a response from one of our Board Members.
Linda
It was brought to my attention over 2 years ago TRC voted down county/city sewer system. As this may be a substancial cost to the home owners, most I see which will be effected is the retired folks to which we we have many.
The vote down was a result of the county/city tagging on a cost/lean to our home to have a certified inspector inspect the septic system. As I have never seen a note of any type in mail or on my door for access or completion of this service, I don't know where this program went.
Respectfully,

Hello Linda..I finally got a hold of the individual at the Environmental Health Division I spoke of earlier. Here is what he told me.
There was a study done to explore the alternatives to reduce the pollutants (specifically fecal coliform) in the Henderson Inlet. Out of that study was a recommendation for those homes with septic systems in areas most likely to be influencing the Inlet to be connected to public sewer. Due to a significant amount of funding required to make that happen, the issue is pretty much dead. His words were "The issue is not dead, but next to totally dead". He stated that without a significant amount funding it would not go anywhere.
Hope that helps.
